Why did I post this here? Well I wanted to get into the headspace that is Italian Neorealism. Looking at the design and how things fade in and out. I don't plan to just do fades but I will have them there. The type is simple which I want to try recreate with akzidenz medium condensed. Initially I intended to use garagegothic but wanted a more hard edged sans to go with the strong typeface that is bodoni poster condensed.

I put this in here because I'm looking for a lot of inspiration from here. I want to create the story board which almost mimics this, but not really. I just like how it tells a story, the background of the characters. Its great, lets do something like this!

Developing a logo for the movie

A story of two friends, one job. A story of Friendship and Contest.

I chose the typeface Bodoni because it is a good, strong and impacting typeface with a sense of authority. It also hints at the background of the movie genre being Italian Neorealism. Just had to fix the kerning, as the letters in friends are spread out.

My final animated design. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. Maybe I need more wave noises but its simple. Oli seems to like it. Hopefully Jodie likes it too but I can't help but feel that Jodie will be wondering where the water drips have gone.

I think what is awesome about this video...is!!! not the fact that it starts out with the same song that I used in my Get up and Go, NOT THAT HE USED A VIDEO OF CALL OF DUTY...which I used to be so good at but design killed that.

I like the idea of a pulse...especially with what I have in mind. Will post a vid soon of my animated logo in progress i promise!

Something sort of Neorealist?

So we are told to do something in the style of our genre. My genre is Italian Neorealism. You know what the opening credits are like in that genre? FUCKING BORING. I guess I put beetlejuice above because it kind of reminded me of the style, JUST PUT EVERYTHING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN AND IT WILL DO. I think I will get bad marks if I do that
